OJO DE TIGRE

MEXICAN ROOTS, CULTURAL WEALTH

Ojo de Tigre was born from the desire to create a mezcal with exceptional qualities by mixing the artisan form and ancestral traditions of Oaxaca and Puebla, resulting in an exceptional Mezcal.

Ojo de Tigre uses two varieties of Agave, Espadín (angustifolia) from Oaxaca and Tobalá (potatorum) from Puebla.

Agaves are cultivated once they have reached their peak of maturity, an Espadín takes about 7 years while a Tobalá takes about 14 years. Being an artisanal mezcal, the agave is cooked in a masonry oven, followed by a wild fermentation (open tank with yeast from the environment) in tanks made of sustainable wood. The liquid is distilled even with the agave fibers in copper stills.

OJO DE DIOS

OJO DE DIOS MEZCAL IS THE EYE TO THE SOUL OF MEXICO.

The Huichol custom focuses on the balance of the four elements (water, earth, fire and air), with an ancient legend that represents the search for the nutritious and symbolic peyote plant.

To this day, Huichol art is the intricate process of hand-setting up to 30,000 beads to create works of art that celebrate Mexican culture, life, and death.

VAGO

“FAMILY” AS THE CENTER OF THEIR STORY

At Vago they make mezcal from the tradition of four small family farms where multi-generational producers make small individual batches for Vago. Creating a traditional mezcal, young and clear, with high alcohol content.

They seek the extraordinary by straying off the beaten path, losing themselves among the hills of the State of Oaxaca (Mexico), where their farms are located: Sola de Vega, Candelaria Yegole, Miahutlán and Hacienda Tapanala.

Each of their mezcals is made naturally in a traditional palenque without additives: authentic, transparent and sustainable.

THE LOST EXPLORER

THE ARTISANAL MEZCAL MADE IN OAXACA

The Lost Explorer Mezcal began as a curiosity about time and the land.

This curiosity led them to produce mezcal in small batches, as a tribute to the empowerment of Mexico’s sustainable industry, as well as to the care of Mexico’s artisanal heritage, heritage and biodiversity.

Their mezcals are born from an authentic labour of love through a process in absolute harmony with the rhythm of nature.
