The Douro region, birthplace of Port wine, is one of the oldest and most beautiful wine regions in Europe. Wine has been produced there for more than two thousand years. Most of the best vineyards are planted on the steep slopes that border the Douro River and its tributaries, such as the Pinhão, Távora and Torto rivers. About two-thirds of its vineyard area is planted on slopes with a slope greater than 30%. In addition, the Douro region is the only wine-producing area in the world where hot-climate mountain viticulture is practiced.

Quinta do Pessegueiro es una bonita bodega fundada por el líder en el ámbito de la moda infantil, Roger Zannier, en 1991. Planted in the heart of the estate, the Pessegueiro winery is distinguished by its remarkable architecture resulting from the functions of the building and especially the particular winemaking method it houses. The building is located on five levels and combines traditional methods of producing high quality wines with the most sophisticated equipment. A true technological challenge, our winery has been designed to use natural gravity throughout the process of transforming grapes into wine.
